 About those who've come home...

Grand Island Homecoming - Case New Holland - Monday, February 05, 2007

"Growing up in Grand Island I never really thought about settling here as an adult.  As I learned more about my major (Mechanized Systems Management) at UNL, I began to think that I might not be able to stay in Nebraska, as I had hoped, due to the small number of jobs in the State that dealt with my major. This began to change as I found out that the CNH Plant in Grand Island was hiring for a position I felt I would be able to succeed at. I put in an application, and within 3 weeks had accepted a job with CNH because I felt the people that work in the plant truly care for one another. I then began to count the days till I would move back to Grand Island, and I am very blessed to have finally made it home. For 5 years I have been waiting for weekends so I could leave my place of residence and drive back to my "home" where my friends and family are. I am so happy to have finally returned to my home and look forward to raising my own family and giving back to the community and people that have given me so much."

Hastings Homecoming - Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital - Tuesday, November 14, 2006

“ We contemplated other areas and looked at homes, but we chose Hastings.  We wanted our children to be around their grandparents and have the opportunity to get to know their cousins and other family members. There is nowhere else our family would know our neighbors by name and see familiar faces while shopping.  We rejoined our church, went back to our original physician and clinic, and shopped at the same grocery store as we had when we lived here before.  Basically, we just moved back home, and that was the best move we ever made. ”

  Employment Specialist
  Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital

Internships - Aurora Cooperative - Tuesday, October 31, 2006

"We were very pleased with the intern we received through the Bring the Talent Back Home program.  His knowledge, work performance, and reliability were outstanding.  Due to the excellent working relationship we formed with him and his understanding of our company, we actually kept him for two summers as well as his holiday breaks."

- Brett Faber, Director of Communications
  Aurora Cooperative Elevator

Family Life - Chad Carlson - Tuesday, October 31, 2006

“We moved back to Aurora for many reasons, most importantly our family, a conservative church, a trusted school system and a progressive community.  None of these would be a reality if not for the career opportunity provided here in Aurora that allows me to grow both personally and professionally.”

- Chad Carlson
  Aurora Cooperative

Andrew Pfeifer - RADWEN Inc. - Monday, October 30, 2006

"Moving back to Aurora has allowed me to raise my family in an safe and clean environment with a quality school system. The community leaders have a proactive approach to their vision of the future of Aurora and the success I have had as a business owner is a direct result of the support and guidance I have received."
